About me
When I was in grade school, I have always been fascinated in making art. But, then I was also passionate about singing. To make the long story short, I followed the path to a musical theater career until early last year that I could not put painting behind. It was only last year when I attended an art workshop that I never thought I could really make art. It was also last year that I met a lot of artists who invited me to join different art exhibitions. It was all too overwheming and exciting for me because it means that I need to produce artworks to be showcased for other people to see. I am grateful that I have met other artists who were generous with their knowledge especially to a new artist like me.
As an artist, I have not set myself to one style of painting or medium. I am in a state where I just want to paint and express myself whether in an impressionist, abstraction or realistic style. My art is an extension of an emotion inside me or somebody else's that I feel I need to put on a canvas. My goal is to keep on improving my art, to paint everyday and keep the imagination and emotion flowing.
Just like in the theater, a good performance evokes emotions. You feel what the characters feel when it is truthful. I wanna make art that is truthful. I want them to feel an emotion when they see my artwork in all its simplicity.
