Description
About me
With a style gleaned from a unique blend of Abstraction, Impressionism and Pop Art, Brisbane-based Artist Jazmin Wilkins creates artworks filled with bold brush strokes and vivid colour. With stylised imagery and minimal detail, her works imbue a sense of both tranquility and engagement in the viewer.
Trained as a Printmaker, Jazmin's work in this medium has explored extensively the concept of human impact on the environment. This experience has continued into many of her current bodies of work, with the lack of human influence in many of her landscapes often interpreted as a form of social commentary, a reflection on the effects of humankind on the planet.
In 2012 Jazmin graduated from Griffith University's Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art, majoring in Interdisciplinary Print Media. She continued studying and graduated from the University of Queensland with a Postgraduate Diploma in Art (Art History Major) in 2014.
