Work description _ The work of view of the world
Everything that exists in the world disappears or is forgotten by external causes that exist outside them, but the whole world lasts forever. We are born on Earth, and we face life and death, but if we look at it from the viewpoint of the universe, it is neither physically nor transitionally visible.
I wanted to show throught the expression of a fractal element about the world's feelings that it exists in small things, but it stops in big worlds.
From a microscopic point of view, the meaning of a Gap is a small space separated from each other, but when it can not be perceived from the macro perspective as if the space is attached, the Gap is no different from being present.
It also applies to the world. For example, there is a gap between the atoms that make up our body, but it is not found in our eyes unless it's a scientific method. From the point of view of the cell, the physical space is separated, but from our point of view it is a solid combination through the invisible manpower. I wanted to reveal the truth hidden in the world through the form of painting.
What I wanted to show at this second solo exhibition in 2017 is not the pictures that have just transferred the Gap murals from the first personal exhibition of last year to the white cube, but rather the series that reinterprets the meaning of the Gap mentioned above and shows the things that are forgotten around us.
First, I wanted to include stories about animals that are suffering or endangered by humans.
Fortunately, humans are still interested in endangered animals and are interested in them because they have a little knowledge of them. But how do we react if we think of it as happening in another galaxy or other space?
Perhaps we will react indifferently.
I hope that it will be an honest opportunity to look at our inner divisions of interest or indifference by such knowledge or viewpoint.
