Description
About me
I create colored pencil illustrations on my free time.
Drawing is something that I have been doing since kindergarten days. It took the backseat during college and some years after that. In 2013, I picked up watercolor pencils to draw again. The first thing I drew was a portrait of James Dean. Since then, I have moved on to using colored pencils. At first, I explored photorealism and then progressed to surrealism. Some of main influences are contemporary artists Cinta Vidal, Audrey Kawasaki, Pat Perry and Marco Mazzoni. I consider the latter as my art hero.
My style leans on the use of contrasting colors while incorporating human anatomy, flora, fauna and geometric figures in my compositions.
Work / Education
I currently work as a Quality Assurance Engineer for an IT company here in Manila, Philippines. I have been working for seven years now.
I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the Ateneo de Naga University in 2010.
I don’t have any formal training in the arts but it’s my desire that drives me to create illustrations. I draw inspiration from personal feelings, human experience, attitude, politics, environment change, and fondness for geometry and nature.
