ANNOTATION TO NIKOLA TOMIN AND HIS PAINTINGS FROM ART HISTORIAN DR. NATALIE PUETTMANN: Nikola Tomin regenerates the Topic " Time " again and again. In His paintings we encounter a conflict with the lives that are obstaclesand difficulties, and the existential is gone. The artist shows us the lives of both its lights and strengths, with its multifacetes. Tomin can take two different worlds: he pulls you through stress and energy and creates a new, highly personalized style that combines these two opposing sets of surrealisim and informal experience. He had and has, little interest, in his visual theam issues, on current and transient questions. He goes more fundamentaly: how does a person handel the factor "Time", dimension, which appeals to him, that the existential life is something "finite"? How the painter goes about with the reality? How can he see, understand, comprehend and communicate. Although when the images unfold Tomins surreal effect, they force us, to think that we have a serious confrontation with threatening problems, due to incorrect involvings. On the other hand, he manages that those gain the ability to express the dreams, hopes and desires which we need so urgently in our rationalised world. How else should those visions be born, whos loss in our society today is been complaind so vehemently.
