Rajeev has been painting professionally for over 18 years, undertaking many commission works for private clients and producing artworks for many art exhibitions.
Coming to his art works, he admires a lot on Indian artists like Raja Ravi Verma and Dr. S.M.Pandit. These two Indian legendary artists had greater influence on Rajeev's art as he learnt the idea and techniques of oil color from them.
Western artists like Sir William Bouguereau, Rembrandt, Alma Trademarks, Raphael and Claude Monet's art works and their ideology of works were incorporated in his paintings as he got inspired and learnt the anatomy, composition, color schemes and recopied their original works.
Rajeev works on various genre of art which includes Portraits, illustrations, monuments, wildlife and nature. Presently he is working on a series of still portraits of Indian classical dance forms as a subject. The dance genre includes various forms like Bharatanatyam, Odissi and Kuchipudi.
Rajeev possess much interest on astronomy, astrology and music.
Work / Education
Rajeev being a very creative and hyperactive child during his childhood days, possessed larger interests in astronomy, life science and history.
Though he wasn't a sound performer in academics during his early childhood days, he had a larger interests in nature drawings, historical personalities, battlefield and still lifes.
Rajeev was born and brought up in the fort city chithradurga, Karnataka. The fort city had a larger influence on Rajeev's upbringing, where he gained much knowledge and interests about the monuments, portraits and wildlife.
He obtained his degree in major painting, then he gained the deepest insights and understanding on any matter of subjects like human anatomy, figurative paintings, illustrations and religious art.
Later he pursued his higher education and obtained MPhil and PhD in Jain religion and culture.
