Description
About me
My work pieces are non-literal visualizations of my thoughts and / or expectations, with the process of how I look at the world.
For my workpieces I use widely used products such as: MDF panels, RAL 9010 acrylic paints and charcoal. The challenge for me is to make an autonomous piece of work with this.
Before starting a new work I have an image in my mind of what the end result should look like.
I deliberately do not make sketches beforehand, but I design and correct in the workpiece during the drawing process.
During the drawing process, I allow myself to make mistakes and to experiment. This ensures that there are angles of incidence that can lead to new image elements.
Work / Education
I graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam: autonomous visual arts (Bachelor). In addition to making autonomous work, I also perform applied art for companies. This varies from making wall paintings to painting puppet cases. My ultimate goal is to get around from making autonomous art.
