I revel in the experience of diversifying myself through experimentation and applying new techniques to my repertoire. This pursuit led me through college with an interest in continuing my Fine Arts and to develop my individuality and understanding of the world around me. Culminating in a exhibition of my work through the years, I have seen that my art and personality is ever changing and will never stop. Life is always an adventure, one that I am willing to explore through my pseudo-landscapes that bend space and time, straining against social constructs and the box that we put ourselves in. Through this adventure, we garner more knowledge about the world we live in. Yet, a frustration lies underneath the surface that is visible by the heavy marks of material laid down on the paper for us to see. Bold strokes cover the page to send the viewer a message that is warped through our differing perspectives. The miscommunication of my desires versus their interpretation drives me to continue my adventure in solitude. It is never truly peaceful, but the nature keeps us grounded in the moment.
If only we remember to take a long look at the world around us, we might be reminded of how it should be. The conversation for each viewer is unique, as our perspective shapes our perception of the universe. Keeping this in mind, we must be ready to tackle what terrifies us and with that I leave you to:
Work / Education
Whilst attending University I tackled various experiences that leaned more towards the social side of the Art World. Participating in themed classes related to galleries and set up I spread my tendrils to other organizations that could help me develop important skills required to engage the community. Through this I was able to gain experience in event planning that then led me to an internship at a local art center wherein I helped orchestrate wedding rentals and work functions. Now I have the opportunity to pursue my work in Korea as a side job, in accordance to my common theme of 'adventure' and 'travel' that is prevalent throughout my art.
