About me
An emerging artist that primarily focuses on both painting and drawing mediums.
Expressing the eccentric and perverse , front the modest and the boring, whether intentional or not, Eduardo depicts what he percieves as crude and vulgar through the traditional drawing skills and and skewed anatomical exaggerations that he accentuates in his use of forms. He creates an almost mockery of his subjects, however still honest and what he believes a sincere portrayal of how he sees his subject matter. Sexuality, which is a main focus of his imagery, is subjugated in his painting and drawings through the dichotomy of disgust and arousal that he believes are natural contradictions experiences in the intimacy of coitus. He often implements himself in these works, the same way Lucian Freud and Egon Schielle did some 70 years ago, unapologeticly showing his rather obese body in full frontal position drawn in graphite for viewers to be confronted by.
But not all his work is pervasity in 2d format. Some of his works are referenced pictorial illustrations that come from his family albums of a broken home. These works are more, and while seemingly more tame than his nude works, are more visceral in his exploration of the latino family dynamic.
