I left behind art for many years due to work and circumstances. Leaving my home land for work, created a void and a sense of loneliness in a foreign land. I seek escapism, or rather expression through art. Most of my pieces reflect my state of feelings (less about state of mind) at that point in time. I like to deal with dilemmas, ambiguity, vagueness; in lame man's term, perhaps the 'grey' area. Many say it is (momentarily) a window into my soul; mostly dark and poignant. I love working on smaller pieces, containing my repetition of strokes or brushing off my vibes! and the ability to complete something (fast), encourages me to do more. I need that self-encouragement to perpetuate my pursuit for art. I am originally from Malaysia, now live in Hong Kong and travel frequently.
Work / Education
I used to be a brand strategist in advertising for over a decade but decided to move over to the client side to do marketing. Did one year sabbatical and that was when I spent a lot of time traveling. 100% educated in Malaysia, with a degree in Economics, majored in Business Administration. When it comes to art, mainly self-taught.
