I'm an emerging artist living in Toronto, Canada. My style is extremely varied in an eclectic assortment of series work, varying from pop surrealism to my more impressionistic mosaic paintings, and my more expressionistic nebulae compositions.
I enjoy using animals as the anthropomorphic characters in a lot of my work. I often feel that animals possess more humanity than many people do. I also feel that using animals as characters invites the viewers of my work to create their own narratives, or at least contemplate the deeper meaning of character as a device in my art.
I do also use the human form. More often the female form than the male, usually within a narrative of my own writing, often also hybridized with animals.
Work / Education
Though incomplete, I did one and a half years of post secondary school with York University before taking hiatus from the arts, and ultimately returning in late 2012.
I've been showing in both group and solo shows all around Toronto since November, 2012, including a solo show at Gallery 1313, and numerous bar and restaurant solo exhibitions.
I've sold a few pieces to people internationally, but have yet to show anywhere outside of Toronto. I'm very much looking forward to that opportunity.
