Born in Walnut Creek California, Brackett graduated from the prestigious The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was invited to participate in The Slade School of Fine Art study abroad program for a semester in London. She has shown and sold her work for the past 15 years in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Chicago and Austin.
Brackett has always found inspiration in the human figure and has used her arsenal of eclectic artistic tools to create both realistic and abstract portraits. Although she is primarily using painting and drawing has a way to communicate her vision she is also versed in printmaking and graphic design. Methods she became proficient in at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She currently resides in Florida with plans to move up to Massachusetts where she will continue furthering her art career and her work on interpreting the human form in a series of creatures she calls Goons.

Currently self-employed. Achieved Creative Director by the age of 29. Received BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied abroad/was accepted at The Slade School of Fine Art.
