About me
About Jacklord Tomas
Jacklord Tomas (b. 1983) is a designer and abstract expressionist artist from Honolulu, Hawai’i and he currently resides in Los Angeles, California. His work focus on emotion, perception and the ephemeral.
The creative process involves a language of color, light, application, texture and technique conveying a dialogue of place, time, space, scale, territory, depth and experience. The work embodies struggle and void necessary for vitality and existence, painting for the immediacy of the moment that the medium can allow.
Jacklord has a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Woodbury University and a Bachelor's in Industrial and Product Design from The Art Institute. His Architectural education and professional experience in Hawai’i, Latin America, Southern California and Europe have been very influential in approaching abstract painting and design concepts.
