About me
Born in Athens 1966. Since i was a child i wanted to be an artist . I was wandering around the island were i spend my summer vacations with a block and colour pencils and i drew whatever i saw . Landschapes animals houses but always less people.I spend hours alone in my thoughts and my drawing book. When i grew older i desided to study art.I wanted to learn how to express my view of the world through painting.After 30 years i feel that i am still learning . For me this is a never ending story.
My paintings are my life and, at the same time, have their own life.
When I work I try not just to look at things, but to look through them.
Therefore, my main target is to transfer my deep feeling for everything I try to depict: the sky, the water and the weather conditions, the trees in landscapes, people in their surroundings,animals in their special environment.
To show this feeling in all these is the most difficult to succeed in, but worthwhile to struggle for!!

ANNA PATROU CV
Born in Athens in 1966 . Studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts in Athens [1986-1992] under the professors Panagiotis Tetsis and Chronis Botsoglou . Also studied Fresco and Byzantine icons painting under the professor Kostas Xinopoulos . Graduated in distinction in 1992. Since 2002 lives and works in Holland
