Description
About me
Art has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I have always loved to create and have experimented with different approaches to art since studying it at college.
My art work has taken various forms over the years, originally, I created large expressive landscape paintings, then I moved onto more abstract work which is now my sole focus.
I like to make people think when they look at my art and try to produce paintings that are visually appealing but will also challenge them in some way. My usual medium is acrylic on canvas - the larger the better!
Art can mean very different things to different people. It is for this reason that I create abstract art - I can dive into the world of the subconscious and try to give visual impressions of what is held in the realm of imagination. I love the fact that everyone can have a different connection to the same painting and I encourage people to give their own meaning to the art that I create.

Work / Education
I studied Fine Art at A-level and achieved full marks in the final exam. At University I studied Mathematics and kept up with painting in my spare time, even linking maths with art in some cases by incorporating mathematical ideas and geometry into my work. I now work part time as an Actuary and paint whenever I get the chance.
