About me
After losing my mom to an 8 year ovarian cancer battle a age 62, I discovered my life's passion. During her battle, I used photography as a way of dealing with things. I realized it was her gift to me before she died. She led me to discover what makes me happy and allows me to create and express myself. I see things others do not, I have an empathy that is strong and intense. It is my strength and yet my weakness at the same time.
Work / Education
I graduated from the U of MN with a mortuary science degree. Shortly after I was offered a job with Target Corp. HQ where I started in merchandising, specifically cameras, film and photo finishing. I held several positions over just shy of 18 years, ending my career as a packaging designer. Photography has always been a constant in my life and now it is my life's work and passion. I am photography and it is me.
