Wine. Wood. Tea. Soot. Iron. Copper. Gold.
I use raw materials with rich connotations and storied pasts. I draw to return what modernity took from us:
Myth, and Matter.
I’m interested in making the world a more creative and thoughtful place. I currently work as a designer for Medium. Previously I made collaborative music apps as Principal Designer at Smule. Before working in design, I served as Director of Research for the radio program Philosophy Talk and studied language and thought at Stanford. I make lots of art, and have shown work in a handful of museums and art-spaces around the world.
Work / Education
I work from an art studio affiliated with the Berkeley Art House and Cultural Center, and was previously part of Art Explosion Studios in San Francisco. I lead design for a team at Medium, and previously served as Principal Designer at Smule.
