About me
Desy Gitary, born 26th june, 1980 in Lampung. Bachelor of communication, Universitas Prof Dr.Moestopo (B), Jakarta. Previusly, Desy was a journalist, news anchor, scrip writer, yet writing still on her things now. As a self thought, visual artist. Most of Desy works talks about character, memories, hopes, healing progress. Most of her works about human figure, specially woman. She puts a lot of layers also lot of short lines in to her work, represent the complexticity about mind and feeling. Since 2016 Desy has three solo exhibition. 07:00 at RuangDalam Art House, Yogjakarta, 2016. Beyond, at Syang Art space, Magelang, 2018. Zone: out of comfort, at Redbase Foundation, Jogjakarta, 2021. Last but not least, Desy also do art video.
