The structure of a building consists of combinations of sand, wood, steel, and so on, whereas the skyline of a city is formed by a gathering of buildings. As we can see various forms by adjusting our distance based on microscopic/macroscopic observations, I employed small and large sizes of black dots, groups of dots, and distance in space as necessary elements of my work. First, I expressed the city of Dubai being constructed on sand on the other side of the earth by arranging it in a form of black dots, matching with 675,857 dots on a computer, and then recreating it as a drawing on a transparent vinyl wall. Observation by means of adjusting viewpoints and distance allows audiences to experience a fantasy in various forms. That fantasy becomes energy to envision the future.
