Description
I was fixated with finding a way to document and preserve my cat, Goldie. This desire was spurred by my fear of losing Goldie, which I have almost experienced a number of times. I saw how I obsessively took pictures of him in order to preserve the memories but it never felt like enough – and it will never be enough. As such, I explored alternative methods such as scanning where I could capture utmost detail as well as the idea of movement over time and the end result is what you see in this painting.
