Have you ever seen stuffed animals? It is basically an imitation of life without bones and internal organs. It appears to be quite lifelike. But ironically it is taxidermied more of death than life. Therefore staring into its eyes makes people feel hollow in a way.
My painting is filled with emptiness and insensibility.
Landscape never looks empty. But I chose to fill the landscape with achromatic colors and try to express my view for emptiness which doesn't include any beauty itself. This is why my landscape pieces are similar to stuffed animals.
