A painting inspired by my best friend-a curious adventurer. He would never accept the painting for himself when he was alive, but his parents did after we lost him. This became my most important piece since the most devastating tragedy of my life in October 2015. Our memories together may only exist now in my imagination, but at least I was able to create an image of him that will hopefully live on for a long time.
