This piece was done at a time where I felt I was screaming upon deaf ears and although I have always been a bit of a lone wolf and different to others, I hadn't realised to what extent until this very time. The wolf is a symbol of courage, strength, tenacity and resilience however is often misunderstood and rather than respected is feared. I feel the wolf is skilled in the art of self preservation and survival yet possesses so many qualities that should be admired ... Only in silence does he suffer ... Just as I have created a shield /barrier to prevent anyone getting too close ..... Yet beneath the exterior, when no one is around, I allow myself to drown into my loneliness and feelings of rejection...
