Throughout our lives, we gain connection through many things. Places, objects, and people are just some of the few we can feel psychological connections for. One important way we can feel connections is through images; they are the portal into our history and can tell us a great deal about ourselves. Images can act as symbolic metaphors for others and be our puzzle pieces for storytelling. Images represented through patterns can indicate ideas, thoughts, and memories which occur repeatedly in our minds. Through the use of Collaborative Self-Portraiture, I wish to allow others tell stories about their lives, feelings, memories, and personalities through the use of images.
