Bursting the bubble. Hanging,

Bursting the bubble. Hanging,

Description

The main preoccupation of my artistic research is the violence to which are subjected all living beeings, whether human or animal, by the industrial society we live in, and the representation of the way that the industrial is opposing the organic leading to the destruction of it.
The motivation in choosing this theme can be found in the need to transgress a taboo situation that most of us, people, don’t want to know about, and the mere act of transgressing it becomes a valuable form of uttering the truth, of putting a little light spot on something that is in the shadow. It is an attempt to lift up the veil that keeps us away from the monstrous truth of this reality because we note that in an age of technology and rationality we surprisingly get to dehumanization.
The works are not offering mercy or consolation but represent an assault on the image we have of ourselves in relation with violence, because transgressing a taboo often hurts our sensitivity without stimulating our imagination.
The works do not refer to the process of creation but to the subsequent reading that will lead to a much more personal connection between the viewer and the work.
They propose a slowing down from the speed we live in, a contemplation of the organic matter, of our own flesh, of our vitality fenced and tensioned by a profit lead society.
The aim is to invite the viewer to introspection related to how human beings interact with their surroundings, to how they relate to victims in general and implicitly to the violence that leads to a loss of empathy toward suffering, often to our own suffering.

I really like the aggressive mood of this art. It is interesting to see the contrasting elements such as the extreme style and sociopolitical play well together.
