I didn't really have an inspiration in this piece when I started drawing it. When I drew the girl, I thought of painting something like a frame, so I decided to make it half red and half black. Red represents the color of blood and black represents the color of danger and emptiness, and for me in this piece it especially meant loneliness and emotionless. Which explains that the girl lost all her family in the time of the war, saw a lot of people dying and a lot of blood, and became emotionless after seeing her family die with being able to do nothing but watch people die on the war. What caused her to be trapped in a cage of blood and pain. I know I am only a beginner, but I believe you can see inspiration in any art piece, no matter what artist level you are.
