Identity becomes pivotal to present ourselves in society. One's identity cannot be separated from one's background and personal matters (experience, religious views, etc). In other words, the values one's has developed from one's environment shaped his/her identity. Techology also plays important part, it serves newness to the audience to explore the world outside one's environment through the screens of gadgets.
Bali, as one of the imfamous island in the world, somehow also suffers from cultural identity. By using an old photo of me and my family, I intend to visually present the distortions of childhood memories and how humans perceive themselves in a flood of different perpectives of other humans.
What does it mean to be a Balinese, when multicultural values from foreign lands have merged into today's daily life? Has tolerancy faded out the color of our identities?
