This is CANAL ST ,nyc .It was once a fresh water source for a growing city ,that decided as many cities past and present would make a great place to dump all kinds of waste from the profitable factories and raw sewage of the tenemants in the area .Then the city realized this was stopping the city from growing,and of course GROW it did as a result today we have this .....canal st....each passing day i wonder more and more what would not only nyc but the world be like if we listened to the natives ?the land owns us ,we dont own the land....simple concept that in my eyes is an undeniable truth...then again where would poor banks be if we adopted their way of life???
