the bay
Description
I've always took a liking to pop art, expressionism and surrealism. I wanted to combine these movements in order to give myself a voice. The romantic bright colors represent pop art. The wavy nature of the piece parallels the motion found in expressionism. Finally, the surreal dimension is presented by the absurdity found in the landscapes of the mind. "the bay" is nothing more than a subjective view of the San Diego Bay.
