ABOUT MY WORK
An art is not only what an artist does but also what he absorbs and churns out. My work is no different. All my waking hours are spent in obseverving the train of life. It is a conitinious process and it fills up my senses in various ways- beauty, smell, sound, touch, light & shadow, etc. At times, all of them, might appeal to me; at other times only one of the facets touces my core. It takes up all my attention so much so that I fell I am a part of the process- the observed being the macrocosm and the observer the microcosm.
The work that is created out of this process is only that part of an observed situation or a thing which has left an indelible imprint on me. But it is to be undrstood that the emotional reality of that situation or the thing is much more important to me than the physical reality. An object when removed from its position may creat a void but this space is filled by mine own vivid recollection or by the figment of my imagination.
The gamut of experiences, feelings and senses that grow out of this imagined situation inspires the use of multiple colour scheme in the craetion of the spiralling lines- these lines are the embodiment of the various sensations felt by me. The work that is created out of such sensations is an emotionally charged and a surreal world.
