Roundism - 25-12-17 (sold)
My latest adventure in the roundism style. I liked the overstretched arms showing beautiful curves that I could repeat as a sequence of curves aimed diagonally from the lower left corner to the upper right, creating a beautiful flow whilst the body itself is positioned in a vertical position and the left leg tibia in a right angle to that vertical resting position. I also tried to create rhythym by putting down strong repetative light dark contrasts in the arms and legs. The eventual aim was to balance variation and repetition of light and dark planes.
Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Lana Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format)
