Nesting
Description
I love ghost movies. I love them so much, that I even love the ones that are terrible. I despise guts and gore movies, but a good ghost thriller, I'll eat that right up. So this piece is inspired by all the creepy faces that emerge from unlikely places in horror flicks.
I used the face of Cossette, when Les Mis was out in theatres, from the front of a magazine as my face reference. Then I fitted her into some swirling curtains, like a creepy child playing hid and seek, and I made her eyes into little eggs in nests.
Eyes are supposedly the windows to the soul. They say you can see into someone through their eyes, so I love using eyes in expression.
