I have a lifelong love affair with the beach- especially the ocean. I love most everything about the beach -- the sounds of the waves, the gulls, boats passing by. I love the smell of the sea, the feel of sand between my toes, the power of those waves hitting me as I walk along the edge of the surf.

This particular piece was inspired by a trip to Nags Head, North Carolina last October. It was heaven itself. The next best thing to being there is to paint it so that I can imagine those sensations as much as I want!
