Peyote Root is a group of artworks that belong to the "happy world series". On this occasion I take the theme of natural hallucinogens such as peyote and poppy flower, and their relationship with the culture of the Huichol indigenens. The Huichol people have been characterized by recreating crafts and colorful clothing, applying atypical and unconventional colors, which represent the mysticism and transcendence of their beliefs. At the same time, their aesthetic representations are worthy of admiration; the patterns they use in their utensils, jewelry, clothing and many accessories; all speak of a sensitive culture and a sense of art. Within this context, I try to re interpret the Huichol aesthetic, and represent my own vision of that culture, through hyperdimensional geometric figures, and applying colors similar to those they use.
