All my work is derived from the environment that surrounds me. Ever inspired by nature in its pure form, it collides with harsh lines and bright colors. My eye is biased, therefore what I see is heavily influenced by my experiences. Nevertheless I am interested in the conversation between the creator, the work and the viewer, and how the miscommunication is inevitable. What springs from my mind onto the paper is never directly translated. It bounces around through various languages before settling on a jumbled mess. This mess is intriguing, as for me I see the frustration of social customs and a desire to escape whereas others may not be on the same page. The frame keeps us entrapped within our minds and culture, whereas the content longs to break free of these constraints. Bulging and straining against these bonds that bind us, the paradise remains untouchable. Can you bridge the gap to reach the land beyond?
