Here is the link for a video of painting process:
It is a gracious palace with inside galleries, columns, yards and extraodinary decor. This sight is famous for its Comedie Française, which is a very old theatre. It is a very inspiring place, and I went to one of its courts to paint it under the open sky.
I used acrylic on canvas.
Frankly speaking, painting on the open air, always surrounded by a lot of people, with wind and light, changing its angle, flies, weather temperature... etc. is n o t that comfortable, and even stressful. But it is important to notice that exactly the stress and uncomfort makes these series of paintings more alive, so bright full of life and emotions. Because, when painting the scene while you are physically there , it gives you a very special attitude and feel which in turn reflects on the artwork.
I hope you will get inspired, as inspiration is a great power! It makes you not only move but R U N forward!
