The color palette was the first thing that was chosen for this work. The rest of the composition is intuitively layered in based on color contrast or compliment. The medium is acrylic and the technique is impasto palette knife. A thin layer of varnish was used to protect as well as bring out the vibrance in the otherwise matte acrylic finish.
