With my new series Floating Faces I try to keep the space around the face empty. No association with the neck, shoulder or background. As the name suggests, free-floating faces, in which the viewer can freely take in the faces with as little distraction as possible. Ideally frame this drawing!
PS Some parts of this drawing reflect a bit. That is because I always try to photograph with daylight, to get a true-to-life reproduction of the artwork. Reflections are therefore sometimes visible in the photographs of my pencil drawings.
