This artwork is made up of two bodies; the main piece with length of 380 cm divided into two panels of 190 cm x 125 cm each, and the external circular satellite of 65 cm ø.
Continuing with the aesthetic discourse of the series, I applied the cylindrical shape with which I reinforce the foundation of the Huichol art, which it centers on circles and overlapping lines to represent the infinite universe; In the same way, I reinterpreted that idea applying the same technique I used in peyote hearts and peyote root cuts.
To be able to make this series come alive; I went through and exhaustive research of Huchol people, and I got inspired by their arts and culture. Huicholes are an indigenous population located in the center of Mexico, mainly in the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. Among many things, the Huicholes are characterized for the use and consumption of Peyote for religious purposes.
