“Line of Existence I” has a concept of line element represents life. That concept was made canvas material valuable thing. Both (line element and canvas) are actually represents life, with canvas represent physical aspect, while line element represent its soul and spirit. Any canvases are material value, nothing but an inanimate object. Thus the function of line element, especially in painting, made canvas more valuable, bringing live from the dead. Both line element and material are complementary each other
Going further, it is not just canvas-visual element complementary. Materials also used to bring value to material, i.e. paper, brochure, etc. on canvas, a material. Material can be more than its literal meaning, by re-purpose its function – to aid in shaping line element, while previously materials always needed line element to shape its appearance. All of that enrich, opening portal to many definition of what material is, which believed some (materials) had been bring “poor” values to this life, such as materialism, hedonism, and consumerism, especially nowadays in this informational era, essence tend to be ignored. Thus line element and material had to exchange its role as an endeavor to put an essential-thinking to people.
