What inspired this painting was the wildfires in Australia. When a dear friend told me was she had seen koalas and other varied wildlife displaced from their homes. Some of them had 3rd degree burns and were running from the fire. It really broke my heart to hear that. So this is one of the Koalas shedding a tear in response.
