At the Rave
Description
My main disciplines are oil painting, digital collage, and digital painting.
The driving force in my art practice is self exploration and personal interpretation of the current life.
I value individual expression the most and I want to promote that in my art. I am doing that by painting people that are outsiders in some way and are not confirming to the widely accepted standards of beauty or successes.
Currently I am working on a new body of work where I depict youth rave culture and it’s attributes with elements of ancient folk tails and nature that are non present in a modern megapolis. In this way I am showing ever present need people have, in this case youth, to experience and express irrational, subconscious side of our psychic.
My inspirations in art are Henry Matisse, Peter Doig, Kim Dorland, Marlene Dumas, Wilhelm Sasnal.
