I adopt the atmosphere of a fairy tale—a highly sentimental, yet conflicted to create a convincing, tangible fourth dimension, plugging into a sense of nostalgia. In a world where the forces of nature, and terror have taken hold, I rematerialize a quest for the romantic sublime that only can be seen in a format of painting. The believable representations of the real world, along with ghostly elements, conflated with notions of the fantastic, evoke a blurred world of illusion. They resemble innocent daydreams- often appearing as sweet - but reveal an underlying phycological complexity.
