I was always fascinated by Seascapes, the deserted beaches, the breaking waves and the sun going down on the horizon. But I wanted to give this a different look, one hundred yards looking down. I had the 1963 Film " The Birds " in mind creating this, the eye of Director Alfred Hitchcock inspired me to create this piece. This is a real eye catching piece, the scene is sculpted in Durobond and on birch plywood with routed edges making ready to hang. Once dry I then prime it and paint in the details with acrylics. The waves are the brushed with three coats of Hi-Gloss Polyurethane and the gulls and shore have a Matte finish. I wanted this to be very quiet with no swimmers, sunbathers etc... The only sign of any human life is the pair of footprints in the sand probably made from some couple neck deep in romance.
